Inquiry-Based: The Three Domains

  • Took place on

Are you interested in learning about inquiry-based instruction? Are you committed to the idea, but wondering how to begin? Do you have experience with this type of instruction, and are you craving new ideas to deepen your practice?

In this two-day seminar, we will identify the three critical domains of an inquiry-based math classroom and provide concrete strategies for improving each domain. We will use the domains as a lens for exploring several case studies, discussing their strengths, and identifying strategies for their enhancement. After learning how to employ various techniques, participants will spend time working collaboratively in a supportive environment to strengthen their own instruction.

Teachers experienced with an inquiry-based approach will be challenged to enhance their instructional practice, and teachers new to such an approach will leave with substantive ideas for their classrooms.
